Have you considered elevating your talents and skills by becoming a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or an Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD)?
Based on the Association for Talent Development (ATD) competency model, the CPLP and APTD are esteemed credentials provided to talent development professionals who successfully complete the requirements. The preparation is an intense process that takes several months and has many benefits:
The APTD designation is intended for those early in their career with three to five years of experience in talent development. The primary focus of the APTD is around three areas of expertise: training delivery, instructional design and learning technologies. Evaluating learning impact and the foundational competency of Global Mindset are also included in questions. For more information, access the ATD website.
Fall 2019 CPLP Study GroupHaving a support system during your preparation can be extremely beneficial for your success. The ATD Valley of the Sun Chapter (ATD VOS) is partnering with several other chapters to offer a virtual study group to support both the CPLP and the APTD.
The study group is free to members of the ATD VOS chapter. Otherwise it is $50 for CPLP and $25 for APTD candidates.
Support for the November 6 - December 20 APTD and the December 4 - 20, 2019 CPLP testing window
Send an email to Trudy Dave at CPLP@atdvos.org for more information and to get the ATD VOS registration code after your membership has been confirmed.
Once you decide to proceed, knowing where to find resources is valuable while you are in the process of preparing for the certification.
One of the resources available is an interactive guide that will help you assess your skills, create a study plan, prepare for your exams and complete the test.
