Program Overview

In these changing times, healthy teams are an integral part of vibrant workplaces and are essential in order to deliver high performance results and to achieve corporate goals. Team coaching is an effective approach for creating high levels of participation, cooperation, and collaboration. Proven outcomes include:

- Individual and collective self-discovery and learning
- Appreciation of individual differences, perspectives, and unique strengths
- Mutual trust and accountability
- Open and honest communication
- Willingness to confront difficult conversations and resolve conflict
- Shared vision and purpose
- Clear goals and priorities
- Creative problem solving
- Increased performance capacity and achievement of bottom-line results

This session will provide attendees with an opportunity to explore and experience the Living Systems Approach™ to team coaching. This is a method that transforms groups and teams through conversations and experiential activities that relate directly to the team’s specific context, purpose, and goals. Rather than being linear, highly structured, or prescriptive, it is an engaging, empowering, and emergent process. The role of the coach is to facilitate self-direction and self-leadership from within the team that leads to a collective commitment to action, positive behavioral change, and forward progress.

Audience Level

Leaders and managers of teams, internal and external coaches, learning and development personnel with an interest in exploring coaching or expanding their coaching skills.

Participants will

  • Understand how team coaching differs from team building or team meeting facilitation.
  • Gain insight into the mindset, skills and role of the coach in a successful team coaching engagement.
  • Consider the benefits of team coaching and when it is an appropriate solution for a particular group of team.
  • Participate in selected team coaching activities and share in elements of a team coaching experience.
