Storyline - Nuts and Bolts (2 Part Webinar Series - 3/24 & 3/26)

Description:

This two part webinar series, spanning four hours in total, will offer even the most novice Storyline 2 user the opportunity to learn how to create engaging and interactive learning with this software.

Participants will see how to perform steps, and then have the opportunity to try it for themselves and ask questions. The following tools are provided to enable success in learning:
  • Live step-by-step demonstrations
  • A detailed student guide
  • Pre-made storyline files to illustrate "how-tos"
  • A dedicated Q&A portion
Part 1: March 24 from 3pm to 5pm Arizona-Time:
  1. Basic interface navigation and elements such as the timeline and layers 
  2. An introduction to creating and customizing interactions through the use of variables and triggers 
Participants are encouraged to attempt the exercises in the student guide to practice the concepts covered prior to session 2 of the webinar.

Part 2: March 26 from 12pm - 2pm Arizona-Time: 
  1. Q&A to address practice questions from session 1 
  2. How to package your Storyline file for LMS deployment 
  3. Features that can enhance the user experience such as the resources and search options 
It is highly recommended that participants have a copy of Storyline 2 available for practice. A free 30 day trial of the software can be obtained by visiting articulate.com.

MAC USERS: Please note that this is primarily a Windows based application. Mac users will need PC emulation software, such as Parallels, to run Storyline. Visit parallels.com for a free trial of this emulator.

Definition of member: If you are a member of ATD National, but you are not a member of the ATD Valley of the Sun chapter, you are a non-member ($149). If you are member of the ATD Valley of the Sun chapter, you are a member ($99).

About the Presenter:Yuna Buhrman

Yuna Buhrman has worn many hats in the field of online learning, with roles ranging from instructional designer, to project manager, and team leader. She has experience in the corporate, academic, and non-profit sectors. Yuna is currently working with an internationally renowned medical provider to create and deliver a brand new online program for their medical school. Yuna fuses cutting edge technology with sound instructional principles to create engaging and “sticky” learning content. Her goal is to maximize the learner’s ROI on their time and effort. Working with offshore international teams has given her a global perspective on design and collaboration.
Yuna holds an MS in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University, and an MS in Electronic Engineering Technology from Arizona State University.


Margaret Wells has over 13 years of experience in the higher education industry with instructional design, training, and project management in various roles. She spent the last five years in a corporate learning and development department as an eLearning Developer at Apollo Group, working with project teams, a learning management system, and a variety of eLearning software applications to produce online learning. In her current role at ASU EdPlus (formerly ASU Online), she served as the lead instructional designer/project manager for several courses created for medical professionals or students of an internationally recognized health care provider. Maggie earned a Master’s degree in adult education and training and a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from University of Phoenix.
 As a learning and development professional passionate about designing innovative learning solutions, Maggie has contributed to the instructional design and e-learning fields through presentations for DevLearn, the ELearning Guild's online forum, and the local Association for Talent Development (ATD) chapter.


Cancellation Policy: The registration fee is non-refundable unless ATD VOS decides to cancel the event due to an unforeseen reason.
