Program Title: Dynamical Leadership: Accomplishing What Others Say is Impossible

Description: Events over the past few years have shown that in uncertain times, prediction and control are illusions in today’s changing environment.  Leaders need a different skill set to build their organization’s capacity to adapt and thrive. This session will provide you with two new leadership tools for quick implementation.

In addition to the objectives below, the ASTD Competencies that will be emphasized in this program are the following:

ASTD Competencies: Driving Results, Thinking Strategically

Learners will:

• Understand the different leadership stances needed to guide organizations through complex change.

• Awareness of how a business or industry fits within the Landscape Diagram, and how that understanding helps to create new and innovative strategies.

• Insights about how to coach leaders (at all levels of the organization) to increase their own effectiveness by using the Landscape Diagram to see and influence patterns of interactions, behaviors, and performance.

• Ability to identify appropriate interventions or tools based on system constraints

Non-Members Cost: $40

Definition of member: If you are a member of ASTD National, but you are not a member of the ASTD Valley of the Sun chapter, you are a non-member ($40). If you are member of the ASTD Valley of the Sun chapter, you are a member ($25).
