Description: Multiple studies suggest the impact of stress on decision-making. This workshop will provide tools and techniques that busy professionals can incorporate into their lives to reduce stress and become more proactive and less reactive. Often, we carefully deliberate the pros and cons of our choices, taking into consideration past experiences in similar situations before making a final decision. Studies suggest that cognitive stress, such as distraction, can influence this balanced, logical approach to decision-making.

In addition to the objectives below, the ASTD Competencies that will be emphasized in this program are the following:

Learners will:

• Receive information that supports the impact of stress on decision making

• Receive information to support the value of yoga poses, breathing and meditation

• Experience the short impact of different breathing techniques; be introduced to the long term effect

• Practice simply poses that aid in variety of functions including blood pressure, anxiety, mild depression, digestion, sinusitis and others

• Participate in a short guided meditation

About the presenter:

Margo Boster has a long history of building organizations and helping the people within those organizations achieve goals they felt were beyond their reach. With more than 25 years of professional experience in senior leadership she combines proven, real world experience with the education and training to help you thrive.  Ms. Boster is a certified and credentialed International Coaching Federation (ICF) Leadership Coach (ACC) and Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) Board Certified Coach (BCC).

Margo has a BS in Psychology with emphasis in Organizational Development and has completed graduate level course work in Public Policy and Administration. She received her coaching training through the Georgetown University Masters Certificate in Leadership Coaching program.  Margo has developed and conducted both technical and soft-skills training for major international companies; developed and implemented workplace mentoring programs, and provides individual and group executive and leadership coaching.

Margo’s diverse experience includes leadership positions in Federal and State Government, and large private sector companies.  Prior to co-founding ImpaQ Solutions, Ms. Boster founded and grew a consulting company that provided information technology consulting and organizational and change management consulting and training.
