Assessing and Developing Global Mindset

NOTE: Dinner is provided.

Description: Global Mindset is a set of attributes and individual characteristics that help global leaders better influence individuals, groups and organizations unlike themselves.  It is the key to building a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed when working across cultural, political, economic, and regulatory differences.  In today’s diverse business environment, understanding and knowing how to assess and develop Global Mindset is an imperative for managers and leaders who are in global roles or preparing to move into a global role.

Program Goal / Objectives:
This session will outline the dimensions of Global Mindset and how to assess them, as defined by rigorous international research and through first-hand assessment and development of more than 17,000 global leaders at the Najafi Global Mindset Institute at Thunderbird School of Global Management.  We will also highlight development strategies, tips, and resources from the forthcoming comprehensive development resource guide “Developing Your Global Mindset” (Javidan & Walker, 2013).   Participants will have the rich opportunity to engage with colleagues and with the presenter about their own experiences, insights, and challenges with Global Mindset development.
