CALL FOR  SPEAKERS

ATD Vally of the Sun is partnering with AZSHRM for their 2022 Annual State Conference!

We are seeking talented presenters who can share real-world examples and practical tactics that our ATD VOS members and AZSHRM attendees can apply in their professional environment.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 7, 2022 ATD VOS will host talent development-focused sessions for all attendees of the conference — a spectacular opportunity to expand and extend our learning community for all involved!

All Training, Learning & Development, Human Performance Improvement, Human Resources, Organizational & Talent Development professionals are encouraged to submit a proposal to share their expertise with our greater community.

ATD VOS is a non-profit organization comprised of energetic and dedicated learning professionals committed to promoting learning and talent development throughout our community. Our members include trainers, educators, human resource practitioners, consultants, coaches, and other individuals dedicated to promoting understanding of the Talent Development professions and furthering the professional and personal development of its fellow members.

    Speaker and Session Expectations
    • Speakers contribute all services in a volunteer capacity.  Although there is not a financial reimbursement for presenting, benefits include exposure to a diverse group of professionals through a learning session experience and marketing.
    • A Speaker’s objective is to share best practices, content, and/or learning perspectives from your role as a talent development professional. You will be able to confidently describe specific programs, initiatives, tools, or processes—something concrete that participants can take with them and directly apply in their own role as a people-focused professional.
    • All Speakers are expected to demonstrate learning excellence in both content and delivery of sessions. Remember that this is a learning experience. Even if you are a seasoned trainer or facilitator, spend some time researching and practicing some of the key strategies for facilitating learning. Helpful tips include:

      • Limit use of PowerPoint as a delivery method.
      • Design interactive ways to engage with the participants and have them engage with each other within the session framework.
      • Deliver content that supports the application-focused learning objectives.
      • Model as many of the concepts you are delivering in the session as possible and practical.
    • Our ATD VOS speaker and session proposals undergo a vetting process. Once your submission is reviewed by the Program Committee, you will be contacted directly with additional information.
    • Speakers should meet all event deadlines upon request and direction from the Program Committee.
    • Speakers may make no change to the identity of the speaker(s), session topic, title, description or objectives as approved by the Program Committee without permission.
    • Live, in-person sessions will be slated for 60-90 minutes.
    • Speakers will conduct a session within the allotted time period to include appropriate time allowed for interaction and Q&A.
    • Speakers will provide any materials electronically, at least 14 days before their program date for final coordination preparation. This commonly includes presentation slides/documents, handouts, room requirements, etc.
    • Any attendee-focused materials may also be included on the ATD VOS member's area of the website. All copyright remains with the author.
    • Speakers will submit a high-quality image and brief biography for inclusion in the the speaker directory.
    • Sessions must not be a sales pitch for product or service; however, sponsorship opportunities are available.

Submission Deadline is Tuesday, May 31 @ 11:59 PM Arizona MST
