Teamwork is critical in the workplace today. Amazing stories about teams have been popularized in the business zeitgeist from the likes of Pixar, IDEO, and Zappo’s. What is the connective thread between these organizations? The individuals on these teams are aware of themselves, others, and the organization. But teams don’t magically form and excel. In this Session, we will discover the challenges teams face in the organization and understand what drives team effectiveness. We will explore the three primary challenges, what makes an excellent team perform well at scale, and explore the most needed roles for leaders of teams.
