In this interactive session, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and what they can do to help you and your learners. As exciting as these new tools are, they aren’t always the best solution. Other types of chatbots may be a better fit. We’ll give a few of these models a live spin, so you can see what happens when you have a chat with a machine and provide a toolkit for moving forward with AI in mind.

While many others are starting to talk about AI in training and education, Margie has been pioneering practical applications, evangelizing best practices, and building award-winning bots for her clients.
In 2015, Margie Meacham became one of the first instructional design experts to apply neuroscience to instructional design. She built the top-selling virtual certificate program, Brain-Based Learning, for the Association of Talent Development (ATD), and followed that up by serving as the lead Subject Matter Expert for the new Adult Learning Certificate. She also contributed to the latest version of ATD’s Talent Development Body of Knowledge (TDBoK™). In 2017, she began designing AI-based platforms for learning, including a fully automated learning coach for the United Nations. Her suite of targeted use chatbots, BrainyBotsTM, won the Tech & Learning Excellence award for educational technology in 2021.
Margie’s first book, Brain Matters: how to help anyone learn anything using neuroscience, has been the top independent non-fiction book on Amazon for the past five years, and is now available in an updated second edition. Her most recent book, AI in Development: Capitalize on the AI Revolution to Transform the Way You Work, Learn, and Live, came out amidst the pandemic in 2020 and predicted many of the use cases that are now gaining traction in training and education in response to recent advances in conversational AI.
Margie’s blog has been recognized by Feedspot as one of the Top blogs on neuroscience and AI. She also writes for ATD’s Science of Learning Blog and TD magazine, eLearning Learning, Enterprise Viewpoint and more. She is recognized as a member of the 100 Most Talented Learning Professionals and won the Brandon Hall Award for custom content.
