Improving the function of L&D goes beyond updating training programs. In its internal audit, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) discovered that it was other aspects of the L&D function that required the most attention. Through their experience, the NAIC advises starting the modernization process with a problem-solution chart to identify pain points and to avoid speeding   through the project analysis phase.

During their project planning, the NAIC discovered a need to redesign the credential program, ease access to information, streamline the learning management system (LMS), update content and modules, and establish stakeholder needs early on. Now, as they implement the modernized changes, NAIC’s L&D team has a clear and obtainable vision that will result in better training. And don’t stop there—take your talent development department to the next level, too!

In this session, you will learn:

• Strategies for conducting an internal audit.

• Where to start a modernization plan.

• Working with stakeholders.

• Analyzing data to solve problems.
