  September 2021 Focus

During the September Instructional Design SIG, we'll help to guide an interactive conversation--

  • Are you a Storyline Superstar?  A Vyond Victor?  A Captivate Champion?  A Rise Rebel? A Camtasia Collaborator?  Or just playing with PowerPoint?
  • Do you have a favorite?  A least favorite?  A big win?  A total fail?
  • Looking convince your boss on the cost of a new license?  Snag the chance to ask others how they did it!
  • Want to show off your most recent stellar design?  Or get help with a pesky trigger?
  • Hoping to connect with a like-minded ID colleague?
  • Need some positive moral support if you design AND deliver in your organization?
  • And more related ideas!

In our Instructional Design Special Interest Group, we will focus on the Instructional Design capability of ATD's Talent Development Capability Model™.  Each session will have a focused topic, but we welcome a diverse and organic discussion that may lead to other brilliant ideas.  The ATD VOS Instructional Design SIG will meet every other month through the balance of 2021.  Join our November Instructional Design SIG, too!

All learning, development, and talent professionals are welcome to join--whether you're just starting to develop your first official course or you're a seasoned expert who uses SAM.

Instructional design is an essential element of an effective learning effort. The creation of learning experiences and materials is what results in the acquisition and application of knowledge and skills. Talent development professionals follow a system of assessing needs, designing a process, developing materials, and evaluating effectiveness. Instructional design requires the analysis and selection of the most appropriate strategies, methodologies, and technologies to maximize the learning experience and knowledge transfer.
